Bishop Henry W. White

Henry W. White accepted the call to the gospel ministry in 1979 while serving on the Deacon Board at Travelers Rest Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Reverend T. W. Hobbs. He later served under Pastor V. H Worden as an Associate Minister at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Atlanta, Georgia.

Being obedient to the call to the ministry, Reverend White enrolled at Atlanta Christian College in East Point, Georgia where he spent 5 years studying in the area of Christian Education and Theology.

On January 9, 1986, Pastor Henry W. White founded Christian Missionary Baptist Church, now located at 5714 Old National Highway, College Park, Georgia.

For the past 28 years, Bishop White has been a shepherd to hundreds of members, several of whom have gone forth and organized other churches. In May 2014, Pastor Henry W. White was installed as Bishop Henry W. White.

Bishop Henry W. White is married to his beautiful bride of 54 years 1st Lady Pauline Strickland-White. They are the parents of three children, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.  Pastor White touches the heart of everyone he encounters with his humble spirit and gentle smile. In his leisure time, he enjoys gardening and camping in his Recreational Vehicle with family and friends.
